Art tapestries from Felt In Hand offer the architect, interior designer, or art consultant the flexibility of site-specific, commissioned art that is both colorful and textural. These contemporary wall hangings brighten large and dramatic spaces, inviting a feeling of comfort and human scale. Smaller work is also perfect in residential settings, ranging from bedrooms to library and living rooms.

Felt In Hand's unique Network Tapestry™ wall hangings create a visual treat to set off every home, office or public space - from a modest niche to boardroom, grand lobby or multi-story entryway. All that is needed are the dimensions and an idea of the atmosphere you would like to create. PJ Bergin, felt maker and fiber artist, will take it from there.

The creative process starts with softly combed wool roving, hand-dyed by the artist. The wool is then laid out in a colorful abstract pattern and taken through a traditional felting process, interlocking all the fibers. Finally, each felt art piece receives a variety of surface design techniques to draw the eye to specific zones within the tapestry. Whether set off by natural daylight or accent lighting, all of the texture, color highlights and surface design spring to life, pulling the viewer into the space, inviting a closer look.

A custom-made bracket and rod system is also included, allowing the wall hanging to drape perfectly, yet stand off from the wall, providing additional appeal for shadow and light on the piece.
