The exploration of negative spaces, shadows and free-form layering inspired this abstract wall art series. Each tapestry contains two layers of multiple, colored felt panels. Oftentimes "hot spots" of accent color protrude from the base layer onto the surface of this fiber art
A thin layer of silk fibers, strewn like wispy clouds, adds extra texture and depth. All the layers fuse together during the last felting process. Finally, surface designs created from paint and colored wire complete the mixed media tapestry.
